Super Swimmers

Yesterday morning we were all getting ready for the big day the WHANAU SWIMMING HOUSE DAY!!, The whole school was coming.

We were the first to go to the pools. When we arrived I was so excited for the swimming.

Miss Castle asked us to help prepare for the swimming races then I said gladly “yes Miss Castle I can help to preparing for the swimming races”. After we were done preparing for the swimming races the other classes started to come to the pools.

Finally it was time for the swimming races.

But my race was the last one because we are the oldest,When it was time for my race i was so pumped out and also so scared because i am a slow swimmer but I said to myself I got to keep on trying.

When Miss Castle blew the horn I rushed hard with my feet kicking rapidly and swimming with my arms just as fast as they can go but then laki got in my way and then I came forth, I was so gutted after all that hard work I did I tried so hard but it was just not enough. After all of the races we had to see who had the tidiest tent.

Finally what we were all waiting for was the free time at the end of the day we all started to go home at different times. First ones that went were A block then B block after them were C block and E block.

Finally we were the lucky last to leave the pools but they were taking for ages to get change into their clothes.

When we got back we were all exhausted from our big day it was a awesome day but it was so blazing hot for me but for others were cold.

Innovation Recount

Innovation Recount

We are learning how to recount an event.

Yesterday we had so much fun because it was Innovation day in.

Some people got to go baking with Miss Parker we were making Afghan biscuits. After that we put them in the oven and we went and played dodgeball in the hall.It was so fun!

Finally the biscuits were ready we all had 2 biscuits each,They smelt so good and they were so delicious.

After that we got to go and do science with Miss Castle.

Miss Castle was teaching us about acids.

Finally we got to go and make our parachutes with Miss Gupta it was so fun. The parachutes went so high that it went over the fence. Mr Rush was not impressed with us!
